Approving KidZui in Windows Firewall
By default, Windows Firewall should not block KidZui from connecting to the internet. However, if you are troubleshooting connection issues, you may want to try adding an exception for KidZui.
Creating an exception for KidZui in Windows 7
- Click the Windows button and select Control
Panel.
- Click System and Security.
- Locate the Windows Firewall section and click the Allow
a program though Windows Firewall link.
- Locate KidZui in the list of Allowed programs and
features. If KidZui is not listed, click the Allow
another program button, then click the
Browse… button and browse to C:\Program
Files (x86)\Kidzui. Select the KidZui K icon
and click Open.
- Click KidZui in the Allowed programs and features
list, then click the Change Settings
button.
- Place a check in both the Home/Work (Private)
and Public boxes.
- Click OK.
Creating an exception for KidZui in Windows Vista
- Click the Windows button and select Control
Panel.
- Locate the Security section and click the Allow a
program though Windows Firewall link.
- If a User Account Control window appears, click
Continue.
- In the General tab, make sure the firewall is
turned on and that Block all incoming connections is
unchecked.
- Click the Exceptions tab.
- Click the Add Program button.
- Locate KidZui in the list of programs. If KidZui does not
appear in the list, click the Browse… button
and browse to C:\Program Files\Kidzui. Select The KidZui
K icon and click Open.
- Select KidZui and click OK.
Creating an exception for KidZui in Windows XP
- Click the Start button, then point to
Settings and select Control
Panel.
- When the control panel opens, click the Windows
Firewall icon.
- In the General tab, make sure the firewall is
turned on and that Don’t allow exceptions is
unchecked.
- Click the Exceptions tab.
- Click the Add Program button.
- Locate KidZui in the list of programs. If KidZui does not
appear in the list, click the Browse… button
and browse to C:\Program Files\Kidzui. Select The KidZui
K icon and click Open.
- Select KidZui and click OK.
