Approving KidZui in AVG products
To add an exception that will allow KidZui to connect while using AVG’s software, please locate your product and follow the instructions below.
Creating an exception in AVG Internet Security
- Open AVG User Interface.
- Click the Tools menu and select
Firewall settings…
- Look for an entry for KidZui in the list of applications. If
you find an entry for KidZui, select it and click the
Delete button.
- Click the Add button.
- Click the … button and browse to the
following folder:
Windows 7: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Kidzui"
Windows XP/Vista: "C:\Program Files\Kidzui" - Select kidzui.exe (the KidZui K icon)
and click the Open button.
- Ensure that the Application Action is set to Allow for all and click OK.
Creating an exception in AVG Anti-Virus
- Open AVG and select the Resident Shield
icon.
- Click the Manage Exceptions button.
- Click Add File and browse to the following
folder:
Windows 7: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Kidzui"
Windows XP/Vista: "C:\Program Files\Kidzui" - Select kidzui.exe (the item with the K icon) and click Open to create the exception for KidZui.
If you continue to have trouble connecting, you may need to
create an exception for the entire KidZui folder.
- Open AVG and select the Resident Shield
icon
- Click the Manage Exceptions button
- Click Add Path, then expand My Computer and
browse to the following folder:
Windows 7: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Kidzui"
Windows XP/Vista: "C:\Program Files\Kidzui" - With the KidZui folder selected, click the OK button to create an exception for the KidZui folder.
